Our History
What we do:
Chelsea Area Women’s Service Club (CAWS) was established in 1953. The club has gone through some name changes since then. (It has formerly been known as the Chelsea Child Study Club and Modern Mothers.) The purpose of the club has always been to provide community service, education and social enrichment. We hold a fundraiser each year to provide donations to community projects and local charitable organizations, as well as Chelsea High School Senior scholarships. CAWS has co-sponsored the Cum Laude Banquet with Chelsea High School from 1973-2019, assisting with setting up and providing the desserts.
